#ADAA2017 is Almost Here!

Elizabeth Spencer

Kimberly and I plan our professional year around the annual Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) meeting. The four day event is a time to connect with leaders in the field of anxiety disorders, depression and OCD, to learn the latest from cutting-edge researchers, and to spent quality time with hundreds of therapists from all over the country who all share the joys and trials of our work.

This year, we want to help first time attendees or people who have limited training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) get the most out of the conference. Every year at the conference we spend time talking to clinicians who have come to the conference ready to learn but who don’t know some of the basic terms like ERP that we CBT therapist and researchers tend to throw around without defining.

Part I of our “Introduction to the Magic of CBT for Anxiety, OCD, and Depression” is available as a webinar. It is free to ADAA members and only $15 for non-members. Then at the conference we will spend two hours presenting Part II live.

This is an exciting opportunity for us to spread our mission to educate clinicians, and we hope you will enjoy the webinar and consider joining us at the conference, in San Francisco CA April 6-9. Too far to travel? It’s not too early to plan for the meeting in my hometown next year: Washington, DC April 5-8 2018! We can already say with confidence that we will be there.
