Here is a fun, free six part video series from Reid Wilson, Ph.D., that demonstrates the self-talk necessary to get well from anxiety and OCD.

The interactions in the video between the woman and her anxiety are well scripted and well acted. I love the way the woman demonstrates the difference between anxiety that signals us in a helpful way and the noise that distracts us from actually living life.

This video series is not only helpful for therapists; it is helpful for some clients. Part of successful CBT involves psycho-education. We want our clients to understand how anxiety works and what helps make it better. It’s useful, too, to connect our clients with some of the really good resources that are available online.
